My Approach

My approach to counselling is holistic, integrative and person specific — shaped around you and not a one-size-fits-all method.

The aim isn’t just a quick fix, but supports you in building lasting and sustainable mental and emotional wellbeing.

In our work together, I draw from a range of psychological theories and therapeutic approaches.  This can include CBT, Emotional Freedom Work, mind-body medicine, as appropriate, as well as encompassing insights from newer scientific fields like psychoneuroimmunology and epigenetics.

It includes exploring how our mind, body, spirit, and environment are deeply interconnected — and how each of these aspects influences our wellbeing in different ways.  This results in you understanding yourself as a whole.

I work with young people, adults, and couples, supporting a wide range of emotional and psychological experiences — from anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem to ADHD, autism, addiction, OCD, emetophobia, eating disorders, grief, psychosomatic concerns, and more.

While everyone’s journey is unique, here are some ways our work together can support you:

  • Develop tools to shift unhelpful thought patterns

  • Explore the deeper roots of your struggles so that any changes you make can be meaningful and lasting

  • Begin the process of healing from those difficult emotions and experiences that have continued to negatively affect your life

  • Gain resources and strategies that support your wellbeing beyond our time together — so you feel empowered in the long term

Couples Counselling

Every relationship has its own story — made up of shared experiences, challenges, and moments of growth. Couples counselling offers a space for both partners to pause, listen, reflect, and be heard. With me as an objective and supportive presence in the room, it becomes easier to explore thoughts and feelings that might otherwise feel too difficult to express.

In our work together, we will look at:

  • How the relationship has been experienced in the past

  • What has brought you both to this point

  • What may have shifted or changed along the way

Values like respect, honesty, and curiosity help make this work meaningful — for both individuals, and the relationship as a whole.
